Ethiopian to Change Ultra-long Haul Route to Los Angeles, Start New Route to Dublin

Addis Ababa October 31/ 2018 Ethiopian Airlines (ET) will change “the ultra-long haul route" from Addis Ababa to Los Angeles to transit through Lome, Togo, as of 17 December 2018 and start new route from Addis Ababa to Dublin via Madrid as of 15 December 2018. According to a press release it sent to ENA, the new route will be the only and first of its kind to connect West Africa with the West Coast of the US with a direct flight. Ethiopian Group CEO Tewolde Gebremariam said “we are delighted to launch yet another long-haul direct flight which takes passengers’ experience to a new level by availing connectivity between West Africa and the West Coast of USA.” He added that the new route launch is also vital to create better air connectivity options within Africa as well as between Africa and the rest of the world. On board flights on the new route, passengers will enjoy premium, award winning services on the most technologically advanced B-787 Dream liner aircraft, and it was learned. Ethiopian Airlines disclosed that it will launch new destinations to Manchester, Moscow, Istanbul and Mogadishu soon. The airline has now 116 international destinations.
