President Isaias Joins Premier Abiy for Sugar Factory Inauguration

Omo October 14/2018 President Isaias Afeworki has arrived in Southern Omo city of Jinka in Ethiopia to preside over the inaugural ceremony of Omo Kuraz III sugar factory. Omo kuraz, which is one of the four sugar project being build with 8 billion birr loan from China Development Bank is expected to produce 8,000 to 10,000 quintal of sugar a day. President Isaias has joined Premier Abiy for the official inauguration of the sugar factory which both witnessing the official kick of the project. Higher government officials and retired government official are attending the inauguration including former Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn, who has recently been to Eritrea. President Isaias Afwerki has arrived in Addis Ababa, for a two-day visit, as part of unprecedented strengthening bilateral relations between the two Ethiopia and Eritrea. Today’s visit by the president, his second in 20 years after the two countries signed a Joint Declaration on Peace and Friendship last July in Asmara.
