Ethiopian Diaspora in Las Vegas Protest against Unjust Pressure on Ethiopia
March 18/2021 (ENA) The Ethiopian Diaspora and friends of Ethiopia residing in Las Vegas, USA, have staged a rally to protest against some members of the House of People's Representatives and the Congress attempting to put pressure on Ethiopia influenced by some TPLF beneficiaries in the diaspora.
The protesters condemned TPLF for destabilizing peace and stability of Tigray region by attacking the National Defense Force that was based in the region.
The rally held yesterday was organized by the Ethiopian Community Center in Las Vegas and members of Las Vegas Public Diplomacy Group.
The demonstrators condemned some members of the House of People's Representatives and the Congress for trying to pressurize Ethiopia based on fake information disseminated by cliques of the TPLF in the Diaspora.
They finally issued a 12-point communique in which they condemned atrocities committed against civilians by members of the junta and collaborators and urged the international community, including the US government, to carefully analyze the situation on the ground and make the right decision .
The protesters have vowed to work with the Government of Ethiopia in its bid to fight back the ongoing unjust pressure on the country in a coordinated manner and make clear the reality on the ground.
At the conclusion of the rally, the demonstrators submitted written demands for two elected Senators and four Congressmen in the State of Nevada, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
