President Bids Farewell to Outgoing Japanese Ambassador

Addis Ababa July 05/2018 President Mulatu Teshome bid farewell today to the outgoing Japanese Ambassador to Ethiopia Shinichi Saida. During the meeting, Ambassador Saida and President Mulatu discussed about ways of further strengthening bilateral relations between the countries. Noting Japan's contribution to Ethiopia’s economic development, the President stated that it has particularly extended support in industrial, agricultural and rural development as well as human resources development. Mulatu thanked Saida for the efforts he exerted to strengthen bilateral relations between the countries during his tenure. Ambassador Shinichi Saida said on his part they have discussed many things, primarily issues of development and bilateral relationship. According to Saida, they also exchanged views on how to bring Japanese investors to Ethiopia to do investment in manufacturing industries in particular. The Ambassador thanked the Ethiopian government and people for their support during his stay.
