Ethiopia's Coronavirus Cases Rise to 111 as 3 Test Positive

Addis Ababa, April 20/2020(ENA)The number of coronavirus cases in Ethiopia rose to 111 as three more tested positive, Ministry of Health announced.

The Ministry on Monday updated on the COVID-19 pandemic in Ethiopia, saying three more individuals had tested positive for the virus.

Minster of Health, Dr. Lia Tadesse said the three new cases were among 396 people who were tested in the last 24 hours.

She said all the new patients diagnosed with coronavirus are Ethiopian nationals, that two of them were quarantined after they traveled back from Djibouti.

The third patient has no travel history but had contacts with a person contracted the coronavirus, the Minister said.

The three cases were reported in the city of Dire Dawa, Dr. Lia stated.

Ethiopia has so far recorded three death and 16 recoveries from COVID-19 pandemic.

To date, 7953 people have been tested for Covid-19 in Ethiopia, the Ministry disclosed.
