PM Calls on Health Communicators to Create Awareness among Citizens

ENA March 17/2020 Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has urged health communicators at national level to equip citizens with sufficient knowledge and awareness.

In his meeting with regional communication heads and regional health communicators this afternoon, the premier said “it is critical for communicators to play a positive role in equipping citizens at all levels with factual and timely information.”

He further stressed that communicators play important role in prevention and containment by disseminating evidence-based information, according to the Tweeter page of the Prime Minister,

It is to be recalled that schools have been closed, sporting events and large gatherings suspended for fifteen days.
