Deputy Chief of Staff Visits Sudan, Delivers Message to PM Hamdock

ENA,March 12/2020 A delegation led by Ethiopia’s Deputy Chief of Staff, General Berhanu Jula, has visited Sudan where it delivered the message of PM Abiy Ahmed on the recent assassination attempt of Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdock.

According to the Ethiopian Embassy in Sudan, the delegation also held talks with Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdock, Defense Minister General Jamaluddin Omar, and Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Osman Mohamed al-Hassan.

Members of the delegation expressed the commitment of Ethiopia to stand alongside Sudan during such difficult times as Sudan's peace and prosperity as well as problems are equally the problems, peace and prosperity of Ethiopia, they underscored.

The Sudanese side also noted the long standing relationship of the two countries, pointing out Ethiopia's quick response to the problems of its neighbor by citing the role PM Ahmed played  in the formation of transitional government.

They also expressed their support to the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam as it is in line with the national interest of Sudan.
