Black Boxes from Crashed Flight ET 302 Taken to France

Addis Ababa march 14/2019 Flight Data Recorder (FDR) and Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) have been taken to Paris, France for further analysis earlier today.

An Ethiopian delegation led by Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) has gone with data recovery, according to Ethiopian Airlines.

It is recalled that the Ethiopian Airlines decided to send the black-box flight recorders to Europe for further analysis.

Accordingly, Germany’s Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation (BFU) was requested to analyze the recorders.

However, it declined the request reasoning that the aircraft is new so that it can not read the software.

Hours later to the rejection of the request by German, French Bureau of Enquiry and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety (BEA) announced their willingness to analyze the black-box flight recorders.

Ethiopian Airlines flight ET302, 737 Max 8 jet crashed earlier Sunday shortly after takeoff from Addis Ababa en route to Nairobi, Kenya, which killed all 157 people onboard.
