Ethiopia, Senegal Set to Embark a Join Commission

Addis Ababa November 18/2018 State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hirut Zemene discussed with Senegalese Minister of African Integration, Mbagnick Ndiaye on the sideline of the 11th African Union Extraordinary Summit.

During their discussion, they agreed to embark a joint commission summit in the coming December in Addis Ababa.

The aim of the commission is to heighten relations between Ethiopia and Senegal.

Moreover, Hirut and Mbagnick agreed to cooperate on trade, investment, education and culture.

Ethiopia and Senegal have longstanding relations and it is recalled that the former leader of both countries Hailesselasie and Sedar Senghor played a huge role for the establishment of African Union Organization.
